Supwife went on a camping trip with some friends on a remote island where you have to pack in/out everything, so she took my freight bag

I think a local DC person invented this. They are rather popular here. I say popular loosely as I usually see 2-3 whenever there is a city wide family bike ride.

I just ordered on of those fork block things to mount on my rear rack. Roli’s 16’ bike is barely able to be strapped to the side of the cargo box. There’s no way that the 20" he’s getting this summer will work.

I suggested this a while ago and everyone told me that was a bad idea and to mod an old hub cause you need bearings

@JUGE_FREDD didnt you have a hitch on your homercar? How’d that work?

Ah yeah that clamp isn’t going to want to let it wiggle on bumps huh.

You could probably build something out of a couple blocks of wood to squeeze the front tire/wheel, and run a strap over it to keep it from falling out. Then you wouldn’t have to remove the wheel.

Add this to your dream board/spank bank

it’s weight weenie road front hub parts, with the rack tube replacing the cartridge bearings and hubshell

the endcaps are threaded into their original axle and bottom out on the axle shoulder, making the assembly a slip fit that rotates as one unit inside the steel tube of the rack span

Now that you mention it, there’s an old Dura-Ace front hub chillin on the windowsill in my garage, maybe I should use that instead!

Turns out it’s a rear. Durp.

These are the only non-dynamo front hubs in my stash and neither is appropriate. Time to hit the coop.
