Hey guys. I don’t really know the board etiquette when it comes to asking for donations and whatnot so allow me to be a guinea pig. It’s for a good cause anyway.
This year I’m participating in the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s LIVESTRONG Challenge out in Austin, TX. I do my best to find good organizations to ride in charity events for and this is one of the few events where I actually have a chance to raise money in donation form. I’m not a fan of asking for donations but because cancer is something that touches all of us at one point or another, I feel like any little bit could help. So help me out if you can. I know a lot of us aren’t exactly drowning in cash but any little bit will honestly help. Whether it’s $1 or $1000, it’s still a helping hand in a great cause.
Anyway, I’m not going to throw out any sob stories and show you any small children in late night television and ask “Why haven’t you donated yet?” We’ve all got our causes and we all get to choose what we want to devote our time and money to. This one is mine. Either way, thanks for reading this, it’s much appreciated and if you know anyone else that might want to donate, pass on the word.
I plan on hitting up everyone I interact with in my day to day after I get approval from the head honcho of my office. She’s really cool though so I’m sure it’s not even a real issue.
I had a really good time. The course was fun and it was really well organized. That was my one and only century so far, and I plan to do it again next year. I have thousands and thousands of Livestrong bracelets in my closet from fundraising last year, I always keep a couple in my bag and push them on people at parties and in bars and shit.

Hahah, where the hell did you get that many bracelets???
I wanted to do a lot more than just 65 miles but when I thought about it, I never train on hills and from what I hear, this course will literally challenge me on the 65 as far as hills are concerned.
