Thanks! August was the shit.

Now enjoying great fitness for the best riding weather of the year. How is everyone else making out?

Quit posting cuz I think our activity levels seem to have sorted themselves out (you and may others kick my ass each month  ), but this has been a rad summer for me. Strongest I’ve ever felt riding, rode more vertical feet than ever, shredded new gnar, tried shit on the mtb that scared the crap out of me (and lived!), and finally made a regular habit out of commuting.

I’m finally starting to feel recovered from the knee injury last October. I’m able to comfortably ride 4 or 5 days a week (most of it is commuting 10 miles each way) with a good mtb or cross ride on the weekends. Hopefully in 3ish months I’ll have time to start adding in volume and get back to 5-600 mile months.

I’m hoping with you. Damn knees.

A bike fit and custom orthotics were the best money I ever spent cycling wise.

Pretty much the same for me. I went with Specialized shoes, footbeds, and their BG Fit. Did a follow-up with the same fitter after two years when I bought new shoes this year. I’ve since become a huge fan of finding a fitter that you can build a relationship with. The first fit was good, but the second was fantastic. The comfort I’ve since had on the bike was a major part of all the miles I put in June/July/August.

so maybe november is a dumb month to try to get this going again. otoh, i did put in 49 miles today and at this rate i could take it all with just that.

uh like 5 on 11/1
uh like 145 on 11/2
uh like 10 on 11/3

so, 160 so far

40 today.
30 around town miles this past week.
15 cx training.

134 thus far.

I’ve passed 10 000 commuting km’s this year, fucking thing sucks

?
