$70 for new cheapish frame. DO IT.

I know its nothing special. But it would make for a starter road build up. Imagine if they put horizontal dropouts on this thing so it could be either road or conversion?

Kinesis could crank out sub-$150 aluminum track framesets if they wanted, but everyone wants to ride steel. It seems like the majority don’t like horizontal dropouts, it’s all either vertical dropouts or track ends. Unfortunate, yes.

btw it wouldn’t be a “conversion” if you built it up fixed. Conversion implies converting the drivetrain. If it doesn’t exist in the first place…

He obviously means build a road bike and then convert it.

Why don’t you build up that $119 alu cross frame and throw the Rival stuff you want on it?

i saw that road frame today. mighty tempting. fuck those bills, right?

damn. i don;t even need one and i want it.

made by cannondale.

Mmmmm, Downtube shifters. I miss the solid feel of downtube shifters.
Lighter too for the climbing bike…
NO, too many bikes already…

jESUS cHRIST!
i JUST GOT AN ELECTRIC BILL THAT WAS MORE THAN THAT!

I got mine for about $180 shipped to a local store. That includes a decent Reynolds carbon fork and an FSA integrated headset. I cant imagine that the Nashbar bike would cost less, if you had to buy the headset and fork… If you have that stuff its a better deal.

One notable advantage of the nashbar frame is the decals are not applied. I was a little bummed that the scatante decals are under the clearcoat…

haha :bear:

Pics of builds from the user section on the nashbar site:

stop. i really shouldn’t buy one.

i have a spare 8speed shimano 600 group&wheels collecting dust that would be perfect with this frame.
no fork/headset or bars/stem though

i want to buy it but already have 10 bikes and no more room
