^I remember seeing one of those for his hour bike too.
Says “Round fork blades” near the fork and “Chrome fork crown(?) and fork tips” at the bottom in case anyone’s wondering.
Lol at TdF being written as Giro Francia.
Damned juggalos.

Fucking epic. It could only have gotten more epic if they ate one of those bulls at the end. It took me until the 2 minute mark to realize they were not in the USA.
macaframa always was, and always will be
Oh man, remember that shit? What happened to all the fixiebro clubs? I know that MASH got into cyclocross, as everyone predicted that they would. What about iMinusD and all that bullshit? We need a “then and now” on fixiebro culture.
MTB is next/now. FULL CIRCLE.

the old hakkepellitas were available in a shitload of sizes including 650b, 700c, and 28" — and the ones that made it to the US as the first real MTB tires were in very short supply, because the Soviet military bought out the whole production capacity from the Finns, that rubber boot and tire company later spun off their radio division as Nokia
the original BG clones were made some years after the hakkas really stopped being produced, and then those were only made for a few years themselves
and then like a decade afterwards, Wes of Willits fame browbeat WTB into making the original Nanoraptor as the first “29er” tire, which also has a zigzag ridge tread pattern (just without the square blocks), and kickstarted the modern movement
Cool! I always wondered if Nokian and Nokia were connected somehow. Don’t know why, but I love that shit. The story of Yamaha is one of my faves.
Wheneve Yamaha is mentioned, I think of this:
Pretty much. I love all those stories about companies starting out making pianos or sewing machines, getting crushed in WWII, starting their recovery by making mopeds, and then all your durable goods are belong to us!
