They moved it to September this year. Which is probably good because it’s the last zone to actually dry out.
Are these enduro format?
If so you’ll be fine. Walk when it’s steep and conserve energy. Other people will push their bikes a lot so use that as your gage to chill. Don’t let your ego get in the way when it comes to pedaling, just save it all for the downhill.
My bike doesn’t have ultra-low gears, which I’d be carrying around all year, but use only once or twice.
no Jan
the Gospel of Grant is to always have a 22-36 low gear on your bike AND ro always walk up the fun punchy climbs
Local teens were busy this summer. I just noticed this in the woods today.
I pray they’re building a landing cuz it looked really close to a big huck to flat lol. Par for the course as far as sketchiness around here though, I’ll give them that.
Freeride is alive, even if those kids won’t be with a huck to flat. But that is also freeride.
Why do I want this stupid thing
https://www.pinkbike.com/news/the-starling-beady-little-eye-is-a-90mm-full-suspension-single-speed.html
because buying a starling is what you do after you sell your crust.
then when you sell your starling, you buy a stooge.
Damn, the future is already spelled out for me
does look fun
Look. I get it. It looks rad.
Honestly though, Fuck climbing on a SS full suspension.
Luckily, you missed the order window.
I bet you could get Marino to build you a frame. Or just get a Spur.
It hath been ordained.
I have a Jeffsy already so I’m covered, just mentaldithering
atmo
this shit sucks
The secret they don’t tell you, Jim… Is that in Enduro all of your peak heart rates come during the descent.
I dont hate climbing. The hard effort still gives me some brain pleasing endorphins. It’s not fun but I realized through my season of downhilling that my brain actually needs a bit of the climbing part of exercise.
The e-bike rules though. You can still put in the effort of an easy to moderate climb and get a workout without feeling like you are dying on the steep stuff.
I have not figured out how to ride tech on it yet though (only 2 rides in and everyone else on the rides was on regular bikes so I went slow).
Oh yeah, going down is way more exertion but it’s a blast; going up is just miserable
Oh come, climbing is fun! Intensity, perseverance, accomplishment!
