(hi jimmy, post your bikes!)
Damn! Shit got real.
fuuuuuuuuu
holy fuck
seems like that should be impossible?!
Are you alive? Or are you posting that pic from beyond the grave?
What’s with the plywood? Are they on a vert ramp?
low end complete bmx frame + backflip + cased landing
i’m so glad it wasn’t me that did that.
did the steerer just completely escape the headtube?
JB Weld good enough to fix this?:
I’m propping it up in the pic, it actually lies flat and aligned but rattles like crazy.
Broke it riding with like a 10-15lb load, probably a combo of tight straps and bunnyhopping speed bumps at 20mph
I bet JB will do it. might as well try… if not your still just left with a broken rack.
no way
try epoxy or that super strong construction adhesive stuff that comes in a caulking tube
i guess jb weld is epoxy
try CIG epoxy putty. you know, the stuff that come in a stick with two layers and smells like sewage. Ive held together a home made potato mortar with it.

Remove rails from both sides. More aero.
Or, I think I’ve got some Aluminox at home. I used to use it at an aluminum canoe rental outfit to repair broken/missing rivets, etc. Once it sets up you can shape drill/tap whatever. Not sure if it’s really that different from JB weld.

almost 6 months out from surgery for my torn acl i acquired while studying abroad in spain. got to practice spanish in a hospital where nobody spoke english then spent 3 weeks on crutches,
borrowed my amigos bmx to get my bike fix while i was skating at the local park, was gunning it to a flyout on this bowl at the local skatepark, slipped off the plastic pedals, jammed/twisted my knee, it was at grapefruit status within a minute or two, no walking for a while.
i’m public transit free for a week now, rode ~45 miles, and it feels great, first day after a lot of activity that its barely more swollen than the other
Congrats on healing.
Those pics are gross.
