Local guy is coming up on doing the same route 1500 times. The amount of change in that area that’s happened over the time he’s been riding has been incredible.
Same vein as the OP, we’ve also got a guy who just crossed riding 75% of the roads inside the 285 perimeter around Atlanta. There’s around 3330 miles ITP. Those are hard miles too, maybe 30% of those roads are good riding.
Man that’s crazy mileage.
It works out to averaging 40 miles a day for almost 25000 days. I can imagine putting in a concerted effort to do 14700 miles in one year, especially in a maritime climate, but not year after year for decades.
Spring has sprung here in Bend. Seeing more and more bikes around town and on the back of cars. An acquaintance snapped this pic today.
