bananas

How do you guys carry bananas? I inevitably bruise the shit out of them, even if I’m riding extremely short distances.

Banana Guard. Duh!

silly, yet clever. i’ll take two.

Ok I guess I didn’t really make that very clear. I’m mostly talking about getting them home from the grocery store. So like 4-5 at a time.

what do you do if your banana doesn’t fit in the protective sheath? Just force it in there?

Take a bite.

  1. Go to KB Toys, Toys ‘R’ Us, or whatever kid’s store.
  2. Buy the cowboy kit with the gun holster
  3. Put the banana in the gun holster.

that would really be awesome.

Get magnum size. :colbert:

Rig up some wire and make a banana hanger that mounts on your seat. That would be so awesome.

Since this is somewhat related, I will vent here!

One of the things I find irritating, or just plain stupid for lack of though in design is that most grocery stores, food markets (what ever you call them where you are from) have the produce section right when you walk in the store. I find this to be ass backwards, Produce is among the most delicate item they sell. Why I ask, would any one design a store so that the item most likely to be damaged gets put in first so that every thing ells goes on top of them?
Thank you I feel better

Maybe you’re starting on the wrong side of the store.

doesn’t that make it close to the exit too?

I’m not following your idiot logic, please clarify.

OK often, when I walk in to the store the first thing you see are the carts/baskets. This section almost always leads into the produces section. At least around here, and many places I have been. So naturally it is the place where people (not just me many others in the same stores) begin their shopping. . if you don’t start shopping there you have to backtrack and mess up the flow of the other carts. In fact a lot of the produce sections are sort of off to the side of where the check out lines are so it really lends it self to to starting there. Regardless, I feel the produce section should be near the end of the store. meaning that if you shop row by row the last thing to be put in the cart would the produce. this way it will not get squashed under all the outer stuff. like milk and caned goods, pasta sauce etc.

Idiot logic, hard to follow maybe…

how about using the kid carrier to hold your fruit like every other god-fearing man?

I see what you’re saying now. Though many vegetables aren’t that soft and easily damaged as you are implying, especially since fresh produce is often used the same day it’s bought so it doesn’t have time for any damage to really become apparent in the form of large bruised spots. Produce, not really something I’d ever considered to be a problem in that way. Bread and chips seem to be much more obvious choices to be concerned about as far as placement on your shopping route.

Watch out for gorillas. You’re gonna get some gorillas.
