bay area tarck

have fun, i’ll be working.

annadel. i’ll finally be able to make it me thinks.

Demo today kinda blew. Dude showed up with a ss 29er. 4th ride ever. Took us 7 hours to cover 38 miles. PISSED ME OFF, but whatev, ate some bbq afterwards and had a beer. Nice dude, but should have known better.

Per the NWS Monterey: storm total qpf expected with this system gives 2-5 inches across the wettest areas including north bay hills…santa cruz mountains…and the santa lucias

youch. hope annadel or china camp have good drainage

Rode the new bike along Stevens Creek Trail, from the end of it on the south, up to Shoreline, west to just past the amphitheatre, then back down.

Perfect distance riding weather, even the headwind wasn’t too bad. SO glad it didn’t pour buckets like the forecast said earlier this week.

Annadel this weekend, rain or shine

Annadel tomorrow, leaving San Anselmo by car at 9 AM, should be on the trails by 10:15.

Anyone down to mtb Thursday? Shoot for 10:00 to 11:00 start. I’m free all day and would love to learn some new trails. Also maybe down to go to Santa Cruz and we can hit up the ucsc trails with my Santa Cruz people.

Anyone care to tell me about their favorite bike shop in SF?

thursdays are my free days. usually do a bit of a group ride in demo. let me know if you’re up for a trip to aptos.

What do you need done?
I would suggest Box Dog. I can send an email to one of the owners letting him know you are coming in.

Don’t think I can do a Thursday day ride, sadly =/

I took the Lawndale downhill KOM on Strava over the weekend at Annadel, psyched.

Excellent. I was hoping for a recommendation for them, since they are near my house, and I am a NOBAWC (co-op network) member. I am saddle shopping, but I also want to talk about upgrading some components.

Thanks, MB!

Ask for Gabe and tell him you are my friend.

Last minute change of plans. I’m going to ride Annadel or Willow Creek on Thursday with some friends from Sebastopol. Still undecided on what bike I’m bringing and where exactly we will ride. Santa Cruz will happen soon, though. We can hit demo and then I can get my homies down there to show us the gnarly, fast lines down the UCSC trails.

Also, deadforkinglast works at the Presidio Sports Basement and can take care of you. The reason I recommended Box Dog over him is purely due to physical proximity, not that dfl can’t wrench on a bike =)

Have you ridden Willow Creek? I hear good things.

Thank you kindly, MB! I will probably hit Box Dog tomorrow after work, and i will keep Presidio Sports Basement in mind. I had some work done at the Bryant street one, and they did a pretty good job (I think?).

Real talk: Box Dog is a better shop than SB, especially if you aren’t looking to wait hella long for us to order shit. Swing by the Presidio store if you’re nearby, though. I’d be happy to take a look at whatever you need and can probably get away with doing it largely for free. Larger jobs may require a six pack upon delivery.

I’ve never been, but I’m stoked. My buddy only has a cross bike right now, so we’re gonna see what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into before we’re in too deep.

6/15
We’ll be heading to demo again but parking on highland before the slide.Face hasn’t ridden demo in a long time. time, ever since he took a spill at 2mph on a squish bike, but probably noon as we plan to do 1 or 2 loops.

If anyone wants to join, shoot me a pm here or be there around 12 ish.

Thinking ridge to sawpit, up sulphur and tractor? Maybe bacon if time allows.
