bay area tarck

we can hang out, gurl

ehhh, i don’t drink either and the SJF guys were super awesome to me. highly kickwithitable.

of course i’m a guy, so the dynamic is different, but still.

it was fun, but the “ride” was like 10 minutes to some random park. I went and did some crazy mileage afterwards and kicked my own ass, though.

tarck is about 10 minute rides

Haha wtf @ 10 min rides… Did u ride down here or caltrain or what?

my brother swooped me from fremont BART, but I normally CalTrain.

caltrain > bart

false. caltrain = delays and too many stops.

while your opinion is valid, i still prefer caltrain.

although, i usually take bart everywhere because it goes where i want to go.

Beer to Brakers on 2-8-09

sounds fun, but the SJfixed race is that day.

Velove fest looks like it will be pretty crazy

Dang, those posters are really nice too.

I might have to break up with my non-tarck bf for the weekend so I can go.

Looks fun, but 2/15 is NOFX’s 25th anniversary show. Should be epic.

Don’t forget – tomorrow night is Mustache Ride. Meet up @ 7pm @ MacArthur BART. According to Tom, “this week should be a bit more chill and a bit less boozy. … I’ll still post a route tonight or tomorrow. Under 15 miles, chill pace.”

edit This ride is boys only – ladies have a concurrent ride that meets up at Lake Merritt BART (I think) that starts at 6:30 (i think).

I’d rather ride with the girls.

“less boozy”?..awwwww…

Kinda looking forward to “less boozy”. After last weeks ride, I was still drunk when I got up to go to work. I gotta remember I’m not in my 20’s anymore.

Calling all Velo Models

You could be a star! The East Bay Bicycle Coalition needs bicyclists
to serve as glamourous models in our '09 Bike to Work Day promotional
campaign. You will be photographed in various situations depicting the
many things bicyclists use their bikes for-commuting, shopping,
dining, going to the movies, etc. The ads will run on AC Transit
buses, at BART stations, on street pole banners and other visible
locations throughout the East Bay, and will run from April 20 thru May
17, 2009.

We have scheduled photo shoots on Monday, February 9, 5:30-7:30pm
(meet at 19th Street BART eLockers on 20th Street in downtown
Oakland); and Sunday, February 15, 10:00am-1:00pm (location t.b.d.).
Please RSVP below if you want to participate.

Last year Aleida Andrino-Chavez of Albany, Ann Cheng from Transform,
and David Coolidge of BFBC were featured in super-sized ads promoting
bicycling for work, shopping, health, and with family. If you’re
interested, please RSVP to EBBC Chair Dave Campbell at

dcampbel@lmi.net or call me at 510.701.5971.

Thanks and feel free to pass this along to all your good-looking
friends.
