someone here has to know a cyclist attorney with a justice boner
This is shit we all shouldn’t be talking about on the public part of the forum. but if you want to know more pm me or make a thread in meta.
shouldn’t this thread be in meta anyway? it’s about bike blogs not bikes themselves
meta != off topic
meta is a bit that frequently posted in section exclusively for dorks that spend too much time here and interact a bunch
God dammit.
About what I expect from PLP.

people who live in seo-hacked social media accounts shouldn’t throw stones.
I mean roadies are unpleasant in groups, but the kind of cutesy bike touring world plp is trying to make money off of is pretty hokey
Whenever I’m on braceline and see the roadies post something stupid I’m going to reply with that now
small gears: totally sensible for riding very slowly on dirt roads
normal clothes: totally sensible, but maybe what if your shirts had the armscyes rotated forwards a bit and the hem was cut longer in the back and shorter in the front and the collar was cut a little higher in the front, and instead of buttons you used a zipper? And totally trail running shorts are better for cycling, if only they were gusseted through the groin so they didn’t bunch up and also had some hem grippers so they didn’t ride up and flap so much and also instead of an elastic waistband with a drawstring that digs into your tummy they had stretch knit over shoulder straps
Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but I feel like using roadie to describe your detractors makes you no better than the group you’re railing against.
It just seems so dated. Like, nobody thinks that roadies are cool, and the people that did were mostly Lancefans in the mid-2000’s. If the guy wanted to get spicy he should start shit talking mountain bikers.
Ugh. Transportation Cyclists™ are worse than roadies.
(though I still just don’t get the point of bibs.)
Bibs are great if you have a fat belly that causes regular shorts to roll down
bibs are great for that suspender feeling. I love 'em. Can confirm tubby hubby status.
That said I also like wearing normal clothes.
If shorts work for you, they’re marginally more convenient. I like bibs because they hold the chamois in place and don’t allow the waist area of the shorts to migrate around my torso like a flock of wayward geese.
I also ride in street / work clothes all the time, just not when all I’m doing for more than an hour at a go is cycling.
This meme was dead before it it even got to the Times style section. No surprise that this yokel is attached to it
that’s true but the obnoxious roadies tend to be boomers so…
I thought roadie was literally being used to describe roadies here?
edit: not the cool ones who carry amps.
