I had one back in the 80’s on an mtb. It wasn’t great. It was campy. I have no idea how I even got it, but I gave it to a guy who appreciated it a lot more than I did. It was alright if you weren’t in a hurry.
A little while back, Specialized launched a big campaign to provide bikes to essential workers. Turns out, there’s a lot of people still working - the response was tremendous and as there were only a few hundred bikes, first come first served.
To remedy the situation, they’re now offering ~25% off “select” models…which are entry level women’s hybrids from MY18/19. Well played!

Just saw in an email from SOMA regarding Grand Rando:
The Grand Randonneur will also get a redesign with a modular non-sliding dropout that will take 135mm QR or 142mm thru-axles. We are also revising the butted tubes a little. And - drumroll please - it will drop rim brakes for disc.
