Haha, the rear tire isn’t properly seated when they give it a spin. I feel like that would be an unforgivable sin in new times.

Isn’t that just the inconsistent height of the tangumskinwall?

Definitely part of the effect, but looks like the tread bumps a little in relation to the background/bike frame. Though I don’t wish to distract from the sensual shifting demonstration immediately prior.

It’s just so goooood. And the music! ASMR status…

How’d they get the cranks to spin by themselves?

Sorcery!

Yeah, the music was killing me! So SMOOTH, and then happy go lucky at the end.

Seriously.

Spinning the wheel off screen ATMO

CGI

This plus an intentionally non-functional freewheel.

Or possibly a shaft driving the cranks from directly behind the bottom bracket passing through the backdrop.

In one of the shots I can kind of see something yellow near the pedal on each rotation. Either way it’s funny how perplexing this is. I bet the real answer is trivial

He likes short shorts and does very in depth bike builds.

That’s a reflector on the pedal. Since the top of the chain is slack, it’s probably a blocked freehub.

Also, it’s cool that the brakes had a little slider to adjust toe-in when the pads wear.
