My kiddo’s SuperSix has a 9/8-5/4 tapered headtube.
For a reenactment build, I guess it’s OK. Finding parts is kinda limiting, though. 5/4 stuff was hard to find even back then.
I had this thought years ago and even bought an acros 1-1/8-1-1/4 EC37 headset to do it. Never got around to buying a 37mm reamer though and now that Im mostly interested in building with aluminum the main tubes are so fat there’s no point.
