i think china would be a nice place to flee to, but i would still be concerned that i might be removed due to political shifts in favor. definitely would not feel claustrophic.

I recall listening to a NPR interview of one of the producers of COPS and the interviewer asked why people would agree to be on TV when they were getting busted for a crime and they had some guesses but eventually it came down to: criminals are stupid.
So if you think about your average cop who is a total dip shit but who regularly outsmarts crims this tracks why someone who would kill someone in a fit of jealousy would then keep the receipts.
