Bike blerg thread

A couple weeks ago, someone told me my bike was too quiet.

One day… ill build up an onyx rear wheel on my MTB…

Loudest hubs I’ve ever used were from Profile Racing.

I like the idea of the onyx in theory. Imagining a zen ride through the woods. In practice my frame, seatpost or crank would be creaking and my brakes would be squealing. I wonder if the weight would be noticeable too.

Yeah, what’s the deal with the DT lope? I don’t love it.

One of my buddies was like “your hub sounds broken” but its always kind of sounded like that

Every single rear hub I’ve had has had that lope sound, at least the ones that were loud enough to hear to begin with. WI, DT, CK, Campy, etc.

Huh, I thought something was wrong with mine. I didn’t realize it was widespread. People used to comment on it on group rides (now I have no riding friends lol).

I’m pretty sure my other two DT 350 wheelsets don’t make the noise. Only an old DT240 body.

Did anybody say “Loud Hubs Save Lives” yet?

Bells for MUPs notifications / announcing cyclist entitlement; quiet hub for sanity of riders around you.

TAF, JA, or just WTH

More correctly, it’d go in “a fistful of post” (it’s giving rando)
