So this is an undergrad business & marketing exercise

I wonder how he talked himself into that

Clicking thru it lists 3x posts, which is less than 100 i guess. 2x are RS and one is someone who worked on that presentation

Edit: i left this post in draft and came back to hit save without seeing i was beaten to the post count

I can judge it less harshly knowing that it’s a student case study, but I expected more from undergrad Parsons students’ capstone project… spelling richie’s name right for starters

their main insight is probably correct, that with such long lead times there is likely a disconnect during the waiting process that could be improved by small progress updates and tangible gifts

Lots of schools do it for free. That’s how the school I taught at, KTH (the big Stockholm tech university), and the other UX/tech schools work, you get ‘real names’ on your student portfolio instead of 100% made up nonsense, and you work with an actual client through the whole thing so you get social skill experience. Sometimes the client is given 2-3 teams to work with, so among all of those student ideas they’re bound to get some ‘hits’ of actionable stuff.

This might just be them picking a random company and doing it on their own time, but you never know. I’d assume Parsons gets real clients.

The thing is, this advice is for how Sachs would sell to this generation. The ones currently in line are more likely to take the silence as ‘kneeling at the feet of the master with dignity’ rather than needing to feel constantly reassured and valued.

Do you ever realize that you’ve hoarded too many tires and wheels and decide to start selling them all? That post hoard clarity kind of thing? That’s me right now.

Like, what if a bike just had one wheelset and I didn’t switch (or even just plan to switch) between wheel sizes based on the season.

(this is mostly related to living in the Upper Midwest and trying various fat and plus wheels and tires)

Bro just buy a new bike for each wheelset. Problem. Solved.
