as a “tallish” person that rides bigger frames I’m curious about 32" wheels
The bike industry can’t sell enough big guy frames with any wheel size. Unfortunately a bigger wheel doesn’t change the economics.
in other words: start emailing Marino
redundant.
believe in your own words.
I reckon Rufus’s personal bike looks pretty normal. https://www.instagram.com/p/DY6XegggLxj/?igsh=cm03aGd2NGpheGpy
I don’t understand how someone could work in the bike industry for decades and send this out into the world without a second thought.
Cycling in Waterloo Iowa must be unlike any other place on Earth.
i’ve yet to see a dropbar’d 32’fer specced for a tall person i should say.
Guitar Ted has clearly never sold an SWORKS
I did the guitar ted death ride in Iowa one year like 13 years ago.
He quit early.
Wasn’t sure where to post this, but I need to vent.
I spent ten years building a space where riders could attend group rides and not worry about being dropped or abandoned. I stepped down because I was burned out and tired of riding with the same bunch of older white dudes. Now it’s just like every other damn Meetup group.
people ruin everything
I love this
@Rent-to-own-Faxmachine just start a new “Relaxed Off-road Riders OFFICIAL”
I’m actually toying with the idea.
gotta laugh at the idea of the leader of the group deciding, “the problem isn’t the atmosphere of the ride, the problem is the name!”
Yup
Ah so you’ve met my so-called supervisor.
one of my frequent go-to solutions at work is to simply rename something that isn’t working, so i do kind of love that
at a previous job we had a parking lot of project ideas that were needed to help forecast and plan. things like “dr. cat needs a larger lab” or “more secure bike parking is needed”. for some reason this list was called “shovel ready” when it was created. the projects were not shovel ready… they hadn’t been designed or had capital budget approved. the ideas hadn’t even been fully vetted in most cases, but end users were routinely shocked by the timeline from project approval to go-live… because they expected “shovel ready” to mean “ready to begin construction”
I struggled for two years to get the list renamed
