We have a bunch of the ripper kids in SF too. They fucking rule. And make me look like a law abiding cyclist so I appreciate that.

Seeing those kids fucking around on bikes always makes me happy. Seeing how much they annoy the new, rich, mostly white Mission district residents makes me even happier.

There was this whole subset of weirdo conservative-cyclist types that I know/met in Nebraska and Iowa. They are usually either weekend warrior/retired guys for whom bike riding builds into their Rand-ian “rugged individualism” fetish. I can’t specifically speak to this, but there’s a solid crew of dudes on surly/salsas that seen to always have a weeks worth of shit with them.
