Effluencers Sid n Mackay just rode the Old Ghost Road with her 73 year old parents. Someone on this group was talking about doing this ride a while back. Its a pretty good representation of what its like.

I had a Harris Cyclery-branded fixed/fixed hub, sold it to someone on FOA…
I really enjoyed watching this last night. Partly because Ive done it, but also because I followed it so closely this year, and also know a lot of the riders. Some nice stills photography in there. You might find it a bit pedestrian.

This was a bit OTT. Waaaaay outside my comfort zone, and potentially dangerous. Joe and Rufus cross the country via a route (so the legend goes) found by a young maori woman in the 1700’s which eventually became a trading route for pounamu (jade).
