Shart!!!
Hell yea
Itâs usually late July. I want this to happen.
This seems relevant to your interests.
the causus belli was pretty baffling in the article
but I guess this is a pretty RAGBRAI story after all?
Iâm pretty confused. Just tell me which ride to register for if I donât want to be considered a nazi. Thereâs gotta be an app for this kind of thing.
The new one is for charity. The old one is a cash grab that expects local businesses along the route to pay the fees of the traveling vendors.
We caused this, didnt we.
Maybe it was me. I just moved here a little over a year ago and things like this tend to get not cool shortly after I get near them.
#outsidecostsabuckohfive
wait, what? I can see how RAGBRAI is a cash grab but whatâs this about local businesses covering costs for traveling vendors?
Only story Iâve heard of it, a restaurant at a stop over town had to was asked to pay a ragbrai fee to be open and have an inspection. Third hand account though.
Maybe that is standard, the vibe was pretty anti-ragbrai when I heard it.
You pay them or they wonât let you be open when the ride passes through?
Thatâs some serious hearsay. I could see it being more like :Local official knows ragbrai is headed to town and asks local food-serving establishment to actually get the proper permits and licensing so inspectors donât shut them down, due to possible increased scrutiny a ragbrai visit would bring.
What would the RAGBRAI organizers do to prevent a business from being open when the giant ride passes through?
This. Iâm very confused.
Threats?
Idk do we like these people or not.
If youâre pirating it stop at a different fucking retaurant
Are there special areas with food stalls or something just for riders? In that case, it makes sense to have the vendors pay since they will have a massive captive customer base, and setting up a temporary food court isnât free.
The new ride was set up a year ago and didnât tell ragbrai. #dramacloud
