One crankset I ordered with bottom bracket (dimpled fake Ingrid), the BB was complete trash, like unable to install crank without pushing shitty seals off. I would assume this is how most of these bottom brackets are. Just use Shimano for any 24mm spindle.

I’ve been running the Goldix kids cranks in 155 and 160. Functional, main strange things is that they need a pile of spacers on the NDS and the Q is kind of wide.

If this is going on a 68mm BB I also got some 165s called Onirii Defend that are nicely made. Aluminum hollowtech spindle is maybe sus though.

:colbert:

that preload bolt better be like m8 for a thicc wall

It’s 15mm so has some thiccniness. Also has a sram style preload.

Shimano did have an AL hollartech spindle for I think one series of 105 so I was somewhat encouraged this could survive.

Unfortunately I bought to go on a PF92 bike so it’s too narrow, so if anyone wants to take it over I’d pass it on for $40.

Anything worth looking at in terms of China MTB frames these days? Want a low TT frame while I wait for my hips to get done

Some of those chinese FS emtbs look neat but sadly emtbs aren’t allowed in lots of areas

Your OEM is here: Custom Full Carbon MTB Frames,Full Suspension Manufacturers - Lightcarbon.com

Seaboard frame from AliX just came in and looks pretty pretty legit.

I think it’s regular with a clearcoat. Definitely has a clearcoat. All tigged

reminds me vaguely of the Ciamillo Zero Gravity Dual Pivot Rim Brake Caliper

They’ve almost got a mini Paul Racer M vibe to them

This page has slightly better pics for trying to figure out what’s going on.

They seem to be geometrically like a TRP980 or Dura-ace direct mount.

Each arm’s pivot location is off to the side, like a centerpull. The nearer arm has a lug or pin or protrusion that acts on a bit of the rear arm (where the set screw is on the TRP). That’s what helps to make both arms pivot in sync with each other.

(note small pin head in the center of the wider arm, that I think the other narrow arm rests on. Not adjustable like the TRP above.)
