I’m looking for a complete city bike with rack (preferably front) and fenders for my girlfriend. She wants a simple paint job with minimal/vintage style decals. I’ve found a few so far:
Incorrect. It all depends on the angles and trail etc. Some bikes actually handle better with some weight in the front basket/rack.[/quote]
cetma’s got some good arguments for carrying the weight up front, which i tend to agree with.
She’s comfortable with riding with a front rack. I was hoping to maybe find something a little cheaper than those ones, but I’m not sure if that’s realistic.
That Trek is pretty sexy. I was surprised to see how classy they made it. And in most towns, 3 speed should be enough.
All very interesting though. Let us know what you/she chooses.
It’s a good thing your girlfriend is interested in exactly the kind of bike that the major bike manufacturers have decided they want to sell to people just like her this year- so many options!
Those all look pretty good. Also, I swear I’ve seen Bianchi Milanos with matching front racks but I can’t find any online. I may be thinking of a different model.
