Haha not sure…could find out though.
a random spot while poking around various listings – anyone know what cannondale this is/if it’s good/if it clears anything more than an ultra-skinny tire?
I’m afraid that the “1 1/8 threaded headset” is not a typo. Still interested if it is that obscure bullshit tho.
Needs a cool 1-1/8" quill stem
That bike is dope. Buy it.
If that was local and my size I’d probably take a 2bill chance on it. If you can squeeze a 26c tire in there you’re chillin. New road tires are pretty good.
looks like a repainted CAAD4? i think that was the last one to have an external headset. def got a repaint but i would def ride it for that price. you might be able to get a 28mm tire in there depending on the rim choice. i ran a 25mm in my caad4 and had some room to spare
All you need @Timarchylime
Saw one of those back in the day at a liquor store and kind of wanted it. Mostly just to do one cross race on.
99 ratios! Not a typo.
And also an old-school rotor crankset.
There’s got to be a way to put a two-speed bottom bracket in there. Can you put a cassette on a 5-speed or 7-speed igh?
Nothing exceeds like excess!
Indeed.
I vaguely recalled that Sheldon once built a bike with an absurd number of gears, but didn’t know the exact number. It was 63.
lol
This was a very cool-looking effect back before the invention of modern “æro” levers, and also provided handy access to my handlebar bag (everybody used handlebar bags, back then!)

I keep looking at weird old bikes in florida and my previous favorite weirdo was a shaft-drive biomega on the Space Coast with chopper bars and a 7-speed hub but I have a new coolest bike contender: CUSTOM HI TECH 26" STINGRAY - bicycles - by owner - bike sale
Surprised it’s not eassist or has a small gas motor
