I ordered my annual frankenbell.

500 blems? i wonder how many non blems they make and what the reject rate is

I saw a couple of boxes of loose parts labeled ā€œfrankenbellā€. He said it was mostly the bell and top bolt. Often an issue with the black parts, basically suppliers are used to plating much larger parts where a tiny nick doesn’t stick out as much, and/or for industries where Spurcycle levels of quality aren’t required.

I asked and he told me they ship around 70,000 bells a year. So approaching 1% reject levels.

Is that the red one?

Maroon? yeah.

Looks like a raleigh comp with nervex lugs
My size too but I don’t need another dead ender

That would make a great 650b SS.

Damn! If I lived in colorado I’d snap that up just for the hubs.

@jimmythefly needs those wheels!

i’ll happily cut the hubs out, post to portland and illegally dispose of the unwanted remnants

I think maybe @Orloved too?

Oh, no, I’d want the whole shebang!
