I did not realise the giant box behind the saddle was the battery
how much does that thing weigh? what horrible dynamics that must have due to poor weight distribution

itās worth it for all those times you gotta go 314 miles by bicycle with a load of cargo and canāt stop once to charge
The Grin li-ion battery I have thatās about half the capacity of that thing is like 12 lbs in a plastic case, so guessing at least 25-ish lbs not knowing the difference in density between li-ion and and the chemistry of that battery.
That front rack mounting looks hella sketchy. Load that thing up and really appreciate life when you make it to your destination alive/uninjured.
If thatās the same basket as this thing, itās 8.5 lbs empty.

spoke protectorā¦for?
Thereās only five, so itās extra important to protect those spokes
Itās in frickin Galveston so I donāt think this is useful to anybody here but damn I wish I was reorganizing my garage for this thing
A friend FOUND one of these in hard rubbish at a nearby house that was being cleared out last year. He ended up selling on at a good price after cleaning it up
Dammit I donāt need another hambike. The Specialized is pretty much exactly my bike, a basic 2016-ish fatbike with Q/R wheels, rigid aluminum frame/fork, cable brakes, and a SRAM X5 level 2x9 drivetrain. But the reality is thatās perfectly fine for actual snow biking.
The other one is a Charge Cooker which looks like itād make a fun/dumb town cruiser.
good price if you are into that sort of thing. if it was a size smaller iād buy it.
I heard they break if you ride 750,000,000 miles
I can hear Kenny Loggins in the background.
Last time I looked at kleins there were zero options for replacing the bb
Iād jump if it was just a frame. Got a whole group+wheelset ready to slap on
Wait really? I didnāt think there was anything proprietary about the bb bearings. Or is that what you mean -there is no option to replace the bb with one of a different type?
I had a Klein Quantum for a little while like 10 years ago. IIRC you could get the bearings. However, all the options for replacing the spindle were going to be bespoke so putting a nice modern crankset on it was going to be more expensive than it was worth. I feel like there could/should be a world of adapters and kits out there to modernize them but the itch probably isnāt worth the scratch in most cases
They say it works with HT2 cranks, so Iām assuming that means 24 mm spindles.
