Dang. This seems like a good deal if it isn’t thrashed.

[edit] Looks kinda thrashed though.

$200 vintage MTB that I absolutely don’t need…but damn disc-brake Spins are not common at all and I always wanted a set.

Check out the wild disc brake caliper adapter bolted to the dropout, for 22mm Hayes mount!

Not for me but this seems like an uncommon wheel build.

650b fixed. 100/120 surly hubs. Rear hub is fixed/free but not sure how you’d brake if you run it SS instead of fixed.

@Unknown.Gnome these seem right up your alley.

14-18t 5-speed freewheel

Thought this was interesting and kinda want it but have no real use for it.

I don’t really understand why it exists though!

The old 5 speed Suntours could only fit a 14 small cog. BITD a good shop had a Suntour cog board and could assemble any combination of cogs, so someone built up a time trialing corncob most likely. It’s possible it was also assembled as a junior gear restriction criterium special, but based on being a 5 speed I think time trialing is a more likely explanation,

I concur. Either junior or TT or flat course gearing. That that makes me wonder if the junior gearing restrictions even existed when 5spd freewheels were a thing.
