i’m not a unicrown hater, i am a lover,

but the wider the get the more ungainly they look

cowboy-stance.

disagree. you don’t ride a naked fork by itself. that wide-ass fork is gonna have a huge tire stuffed under it. and it looks better as the tire-to-fork-blade ratio increases.

not entirely fair lineup

Atmo the main thing that determines whether a unicrown fork looks good is how the bottom of the steerer is handled. Sticking down with a square end? Bad. Nice continuous curve with the fork blades? Probably good.

truss fork: why get a normal fork when you can have one that’s a hundred times more a pain in the ass to mess with

but it adds so much to the bike and it looks like a weird crane or ladder or something

Do you want a bike to ride or to get likes on Instagram and/or get chatted up by dorks in public?

I kinda just want to ride a mid level giant just to avoid other bike nerds in public.

Having ridden several Jones truss forks and one of the more pedestrian unicrown forks, I found the later to not be entirely horrible. More brake rub, but that could be because the mounts need facing. The unicrown’s additional flex helps damp trail buzz somewhat.

But yeah, the uni’s look like ass.

great looking fork here btw

I feel like I should go buy this. It would fit me.

do you want a rim brake cx bike? that’s the real question

That’s what i’m not sure of. It would replace an early Jake the snake rim brake cx bike (1" steerer) so in that sense it would be a big upgrade.
