D2R2 North East Tarck Round Up!

It sounds so appealing in a masochistic kind of way.

I hemmed and hawed last year when I should have just signed up and gotten my ass kicked. somebody’s gotta be last, right?

It’s telling that most of the VO people including TooTall and Atmobear do the 60mi/100km most years. I saw TooTall at a cross race once and he is infinitely faster/more fit than I am.

I thought atmo did the 180k

No, he does the 100.

Probably in for the 60k.

would i die without a triple crank like it says on the registration page?

i was going to do it anyways, but if there is a bunch of us even better

This! Tarck party in the field afterwards!

NYC is flat right? Triple is nice! Compact with MTB cassette er, 12/32 might be ok? NYC flat?

Have you done a century with over 10k feet of climbing in less than 6 hours? No? Then yes, use a triple.

I haven’t done D2R2, but I have been on many of the roads. Lots of steep patches with loose footing. Several spots are hard to power over without loosing traction. I would definitely gear down.
