What fenders and tire width? I’m wondering if there’s anything that will fit a 1.9.
bought a set of these once for a random application, didn’t use, currently on sup’s ross, which is chrome with bullmoose bars.
definitely look great on a vintage bike.
New minivelo VO fenders would be cool depending on the spec

No probs!
Just have fun, fall over a lot, get dirty, try to learn some decent technique straight away (brake with one finger, look ahead, bend your elbows and stay a bit loose) and try and ride with folks who have more experience than yourself. We are all about having a good time over in the MTB-thrad!
Still not sold on the straps, but I’m pretty happy I finally have a use for the alter stem. Going to get a basket for it.

It’s pretty weird looking at the stem and seeing right through. Only problem is the stem puts the bars so low the wald sits on the tire with the stock bar mounts. Some bodging is called for.
Move the mounts on the basket to the bottom wire
Cut the mounts, shorten, weld. I do the opposite to bring the basket within the same zip code as the tire on long head tube bikes.
Just flip the stemm?
