yall making me want a RARE STEM for my flatbar basketbike
I had one on my old xtracycle conversion with swoopy bars. Was terrific.
Tires are stock 1.5s the fenders are SKS. Looks like enough room to go bidder without a problem. I didnāt try very hard to work the fender line and and the bridges thereās a lot of height
Got this thing finished last night. All I need is a lego for the wiring and itāll be 100% done.
1975-or-6 Raleigh Competition, rattlecan paint + mystery decals (this was an ebay score.)
Put most of the parts from the grando onto this, except for the new shakes, tubeless wheelset, and rear rack. 10 speed, and the shakes work beautifully with the mafac racer brakes. Itās going to serve as my main commuter for the rest of the summer.
That bike is like an old hippie.
basically what i was going for
As in itās obviously been through some stuff but, beyond all rational explanation, itās still alive?
I proceeded to crack both of those tubular rims later that night. Tires are still good, coz tubular.
how did you crack two rims?
Watts
Heard of it
Descending a pothole-ridden, shit road at 30-35mph at 375w in the dark. The crack/divot I hit spanned across the entire road, so there was no avoiding it. I felt something happen, and once I hit smooth road, I ran a finger along the sidewall, while I was still riding, andā¦yup.
bunny hops tho
Oh, I hopped a lot of stuff, but apparently not all the stuff. Sucks, but the wheels are 5 years old and have seen their share of abuse.
Iām thinking of just getting some lightbicycle rims to replace them. I looooove tubulars for racing, but Iām really thiinking of going clinchers. Tires are getting so close to the ride of tubies. Also, changing a tubular is always a pain when you have to do it.
more like watts + weight
Wow reading this made me physically uncomfortable for a moment
why? you donāt brush off your tires after you roll through glass? NOTE: while wearing gloves! Gloves very important!!
Nope, I try not to mix spinning objects and fingers. I have an active imagination
Once I forgot to close the presta valve and just barely got it closed while riding
Yeah, gloves. Haha.
