Not unless they made those bontrager forks.
Dang ol yup that’s some str8 ballin right there.
shame, the gumwall was sexy as heck
Am I the only one that’s absolutely not into flesh tone side walls?
I want matte black tires unless I fully retreat into late 90’s roadbike nostalgia, in which case I want my tires to have side strips that match my frame
Those are even worse because those stripes never match anything else on any bike ever made. Expect for yellow, which is the worst accessory color for a bike.
man, those TCRs from around the turn of the milennium with the yellow and black paintjobs and yellow and black tires: so absolutely radical.
Also the compact frame looked like something from the future.
I mean, I just bought a cycletruck that came with gray tires, so I guess the dream is alive for non-racing bikes
gumwalls really highlight how good/bad your fenderline is. They keep you honest.
It’s a bontrager fork. The fenders I’m certain aren’t brass but they’re certainly not staying as is. I’m almost wondering how a candy purple or pink sprayed over top would look although I’m not really into shiny fenders.
P sure spray bike has matte clear.
I worked at a giant dealer from like 99-03. I hate those bikes and their stupid wheels.
most incorrect statement on tarck
RUDE
I mean I never rode one, but in terms of frame style for mainstream road bikes and in terms of setting a new sizing standard (t shirt instead of 1-2cm increments), they did a lot.
Also they looked cool and anyone who disagrees can go to hell. I love weird rickety road bikes with no tire clearance
@spaghetti yeah they were pretty, but man, they might as well be made of fucking paper (see tire thread).
Also, not mad at the stealthy all-black look. Makes it look faster. Look being the operative word.
I think I am all over the flesh-tone-colourways. I am enjoying some stealthy black just now.
I’m totally into flesh tone colourways, just not tires. An old band-aid colored Volvo, into it. The Caucasian colored Santa Cruz MTBs, into it. Etc.
No. I hate them.
