2009 in the back, 2019 in the front. Time machine bike
What do you have wrapped on the fender stay?
The front is in âproof of conceptâ mode still. Iâll lace up the matching rim to a dyno hub and put on a light and basket at some point
It seems cool! Iâm currently riding around on a cycletruck with a big storage tub ziptied to the rack, so I definitely donât have any problems with absolutely sketchball bike experiments
Iâm gonna do a dyno setup for it, but first maaaaybe invest in some u bolts and washers.
looks like 60-grit sand papes
Someone likes it rough
Thatâs a bit of sandpaper; those are 5mm p-clamps and the stay is 3mm, so Iâm using the sandpaper as a (poor) shim while I frantically google for metal 3mm p-clamps that I can find in the cesspool of democracy instead of asia, the EU, or airstrip one.
3mm???
if you need 4mm iâll send you a piece of mail
Send me a piece of mail!
This is basically a future bike of mine
Guysshoeing this thing with the new Lyrik up front. Went from 160 up to 170 slacked the front out from 64° to 63.5°, shortened the reach from 500 down to 495, even longer wheelbase with 1270mm and bumped the bb from -15 to -11. Think all those things will make it an even better bike for the riding around here!
Love the look of those cranks on it. Who needs those Cane Creek wing jawns?
People that wanna ball hard?
Middleburn has a good concept but theyâre heavy
Nah @LASER_BEIGE, they aint that heavy.
They are at 650gr complete if you go with the 4 arm spider+ring I have. Compare that to say a pair of new 12s XTR: 511gr with direct mount ring, 11s XT lands at 603gr without a ring and bolts.
Also you donât ride Middleburn for the light weight, if you care about grams you get some carbon shitâŚ
Those are the R02 and if you want Iâll weigh out the mtb ones when I get home
Eewings claimed weight is 400g fwiw
I canât help but get a bit of âwElL aCtUaLlYâ-vibe over here.
What are you trying to prove? That my cranks are heavy? That your road 2xâs are heavier than my mtb 1x? That Middleburn suck? Fuck man you need to let your disappointment of Middleburn as a brand go.
Thereâs really no need to weigh your mtb cranks, I ride them and I know what they weigh and I wrote it out for you. As I said you donât ride Middleburn cranks for the low weight. Sure buy a pair of EE-wings if you want or maybe ball out of control on some THMâs, Rotor Kapicâs, XX1âs or any of the other thousand Ăźber light carbon cranks. Yes the eewings weigh 399 with out a chain ring but they also cost half of what my custom Starling frame does (even more over here in EU/Socialist Nightmareâ˘), I sure as fuck donât want to spend that kind of money on a pair of cranks. If you do, good for you!
I literally wrote well actually
This was my point
