Dammit: Post your bike

Put some fenders on the roadbiek because why not. Gonna take them off and install some 28mm tires. Yes those are spd pedals and yes I only have one bottle cage.

I got them from the ‘I think this will look cool and liked the 3t bars with a similar shape’ department. Still need to ride it and fine tune where everything’s going to be.

Initial test: hoods are likely going to take some fine tuning, but i like the classic drops much more than compacts.

i have the rotundos as well. i’ve had them since 2009. i’m very cheap and not very picky, so here they are

I have some aerotundos on my road bike, they’re not bad, but I’m thinking I might replace them with zipp sl 88 when it’s time to swap

The shape of bars like the ritchey Evo Max bars with a flatter transition to the hoods and the classic drop are better, but the bars on my bike I got for cheap at the local collective so :man_shrugging:.

it’s a custom predator modded fork Braden had made way back

NBD as of a couple days ago. Only swapped out saddle/post/pedals/bars/stem/grips. Excited to ride pump tracks and get some sick (extremely tiny) air.

dat tt tho

That thing looks fun.

Great fuckabout bike. Going off lippy things or down steep things with Jones bars feels weird to me. There is a bit of muscle memory lost in translation between Jones bike and my big mountain bike.

tEcHniCalLy Soma Ospreys but yeah, I’m curious how that stuff is gonna feel as well. The setup it came with was quite aggressive in terms of drop and reach, which felt like it’d probably be even worse in that regard.

May do some big risers and a short stem at some point, but this was the most quarantine-friendly way to get it feeling ok to pedal around with stuff I already had in the house.

Does that thing creak? I bailed on my Rig after tearing it apart and rebuilding it a bunch of times chasing a mystery creak. Eventually decided it had a cracked weld I couldn’t ID.

But the EBB was always a PITA, too, so…

So far no but I bought it from a pro mechanic who did a full overhaul/check before handing it over, and I’ve only gone on a quick 45min spin.

LFGSS also says that the seat tube is guaranteed to crack at some point so we’ll see how that goes:
“The seat tube above the top tube is reamed to 27.2mm. Below the seat tube it’s >27.2mm. Causes a stress fracture.”

When it goes for good I’ll holler at Bing. Hes still doing frame repair but moved out to Matthew’s county. Good excuse to drive out there and go for a nice ride. He’s fixed two like this for Outpost in the last year. He brazes a really nice sleeve over the whole thing, reinforces the front and cut’s a new slot.

I want to say it was $50. The benefit of working with a “retired” builder.
