I think you used Ed up in Ashland right? He’s also top notch and equally affordable. For straight up crack repairs I do like Rob’s style.
Ah right, that was the guy.
Good to know that there are a few good local options.
Oh. Well that explanation tracks with my experience. Would really only creak with my weight on the saddle. Swapped saddles, greased rails, etc.
yea, aluminum. Figure I’ll just ride it until it breaks and if I really like the ssmtb 29er life I’ll just get Gurrry to build me a new one or buy a replacement frame. Or I hate it before it breaks and I resell, either way no harm no foul.
29 rigid single speed is great fun until you try something else out
I’m too far gone, I already have a rigid 27+ mtb that I really enjoy, so I figure the stupider the better.
I wanna make a coaster brake 27.5+ low trail wheelie machine
hnggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
(tho why not make the head tube taller?)
:grantcrying:
and talk to me about that seat tube, does it taper down to 28.6 just above the derailleur, like it’s a super long external butt?
There actually is 6* of slope. Anything more and it looks weird. Plus, this is a pretty chill fit.
LOL AMAZING! Going to fucking kill it with that, Grant is such an idiot.
That’s right. This was the best way mitigate stresses since the tt goes right into the middle of the st.

Step-through Poly with thru axles? I like.
I love it but I don’t know if 6* is chill these days. The one thing I’ve figured out about women’s* fit is that relative the hip socket the larger pelvis puts the sit bones lower and the base of the spine higher, so for a given height the bars need to be ~2" higher relative the saddle.
* hand waving here
Oooh, err, missus!
first redeeming thing about 2020
