Tbh I kind of want a raleigh chopper
I ended up buying this back from someone after a few years and rebuilding it. Sometimes I canāt let go. Repainted MXL.
that bar setup makes me sad but iām happy about that bikes potential.
oh, and i guess your blue headset has ruined my day. you can pass that one on when the moment is right.
I seem incapable of doing a proper bar set up. It looks good in the basement, and thenā¦
If you get the cut ends of the bars perpendicular to the ground you are pretty much good. Then the top of the levers parallel
I saw GT has a remake of the Mach One and thought really hard about buying one.
probably went too much into the idea that you were going to have flat ramps to hoods on bars too old for that
Iām too old or they are?
yeah
the bars.
flat-ish hoods (or pointed just a hint upwards) is good, but position them so that they are flat-ish and your drops are also a useful position and youāll be money.
some bars donāt give you flat ramps. in my experience that isnāt bad, and actually forces you into a more optimal position if all other fit stuff is about right instead of letting you get lazy and stick with the easiest place to lay your habds
Thatās cool
Jesus Christ! How tall are you?
Iām 6ā1", it looks huge cuz 26", but itās only a 58cm. Headtube is hilariously tall.
iāve thought about a disc trucker as a replacement clydes frame. this might have pushed me over the edge if i can find a used one cheap enough. otherwise iām still tempted to go supercustom marinobike
Marinobike is a good idea! I got impatient waiting to find the right vintage frame in a dumpster so I said fuck it and EPād this one. Of course somebody ditched a perfect old Rocky Mountain behind our shop a day after I finished building it.
yeah i just donāt feel like paying lht money even at cost. qbp doesnāt let me get any better than cost and even at EP itās maybe more than i want to spend for what it is. marinobike would be 100% āperfectā aka only my own mistakes
duck is really going through it right there
it me
