Dammit: Post your bike

Im with Doug on this. White will wear in nicely and show off a bit of a tan patina from all that dirt. My coffee grinder has had white tape and saddle for years.

White tape only if you spend significant time in the drops.

I just want to say I was joking about the Wahoo, I was actually poking fun at myself and my love/hate relationship with Garmin.

Also that is an awesome bike.

I’m thinking about something tan or taupe or something, or maybe even rust colored?

Pretty sure that if you tried a Wahoo, you’d be converted. They’re so much less annoying.

Also, post your damn bike.

Too late, I just got a Garmin 1030 to replace my 6 or 7 year old device (which I gave to Salt)

Thanks, I don’t know why I was being so sensitive about it and I’m sorry I made a pissy comment in response.

I do think there’s a bunch of people that would like to see what your new wheels are though so you should probably post your bike! I’m very curious to see what’s holding you over between your old English and the new one!

Why did I let you people talk me into tubeless

I now have 1 tire going flat for no reason I can discern and I’m starting to feel ridiculous doing the shake & bake dance with it

It me.

I recommend how I do tubeless; ride them that way until they stop holding air reliably, then plunk tubes in and go my merry way until the next itch for tubelessification happens (though I’ve never bettered my run with cr18’s & confreries — ~2k miles before they got a gouge large enough so the tire goo couldn’t congeal in the opening)

Yeah I just bought some 38 mm latex tubes for fun

Get German tires and you’ll be singing a different tune.

Here’s my bike with non tubeless German tires:

I don’t know if it exists but orange fade tape with an orange saddle would look rad.

I bought a orange fizik test saddle from Fred like 9 years ago and had it on a blue caad with orange tape and it looked good.

Did you ride it yet? Best way to splash the tire milk around atmo.

Marin is killing it with their finishes/graphics.

Yes, it was fine for a week, then it went almost flat overnight. I don’t see any bubbling through the sidewalls or pinhead leaks so I don’t know where it is coming from

Maybe it’s all used up from initial seal
Hard to tell without pictures

Yea, wish I could help @anon3547885, but I’d need to see it to offer any advice.
