Dammit: Post your bike

Dirty bike in use

Looking back, I should have spent time in pre-ride getting the hop right on these. Not that it would have gotten me closer to 2nd, they had 1min on us, but might have made my attacks stick a bit better.

So, is that one that has passed through multiple tarker hands?
I left a sticker on the one I sold to… somebody?

This one came off eBay. Has the original shop sticker but nothing else.

Dithering has begun in earnest.

That went to me, which went to my old roommate when his bike was stolen and about 6 months ago the tarckyon broke at the bb and chainstay

Yikes!
It gave and gave, until it had nothing left to give. It and I never really got on together. I hope it’s in a happier place now.

(I was kind of wondering what percentage of remaining functional tachyons we as a group had not laid hands upon.)

I should not have cranked so much raw power into it during those cold Wisconsin winters.

I was a friend of Jamis…

i used it for 2-3 chicago winters and then it was used full time by him

i pushed for getting it glued back together but im afraid to ask if that happened

HY! Was that on eBay? Pretty sure I dithered on it for a bit before deciding not to, glad it’s in the family

It was… I managed to get the seller to knock a bit off. Still probably overpaid but I’ve wanted to have one of these in the Outpost/Endpoint shop for a long time because of the similarities to the Hunter-Gatherer. Plus it will make for an excellent dad-bike.

Older pic of mine, but it hasn’t been dithered with since taking this form.

I had one from a tarcker, sticker said ‘Local Mofo’ on the top tube. I again sold it to another tarcker. With all the changes I have no memory of who all were involved.

I decided to add to the wackiness of this bike with some pink tires and a dynamo setup for the dark months.

dang i had one of those ~2009-2010. forgot all about it. crosscheck with a tall headtube

i came so close to owning one. but then i replaced my kwests with big apples and decided that made
my commuter faster enough. i still regret ditching my 95 rockhopper ultra but only cuz the high zoot jeffrey richman frame finished breaking due to prior owner’s indiscretions. that bike ruled- proper light tubing, 9/8” headtube, 130 rear spacing, 68mm bb shell but absolutely would never clear a road crank. super tight fillets, just all around weird and plane-y

I love GT, even the new stuff, but what was it that made everyone on Tarck love Tachyons
