Dammit: Post your bike

Looks like a beautiful day for it!

Honestly, couldn’t have asked for better weather. Turns out I should go ride my bike more.

sorry don’t know, but whatever was an option at the time (~Jan 2021) for Bullitts.

NDS photo is one thing, but locking NDS toward the rack…

Drive side always towards the rack. Was less likely to get bashed by another bike being locked up than by someone on the sidewalk.

NDS toward the rack for life!
Do you walk your bike from the drive side?

Hey you wouldn’t happen to still have the picture of pseudome topless in a shark backpack with a recumbent would you?

^Weirdest request of the year so far

hahahahaha, no I don’t. That one is lost to the aether

I have had my eyes on the Vado SL for a long time. congrats on that. sucks the shop experience was choppy…

Those are 27.5" right? I want to know what the max tire size you can fit it with.

Yes exactly

Huh. IME peds bumping into my bike locked DS-in would knock the dangler on the rack anyway so if it’s DS-out then at least they’d have to hit it with something solid to do any damage. And it seems like every time I try to lock DS-in it leans on the chainring or something.

NDS walking side. But take that photo for example. I rode up to the bike rack coming from left to right. I dismounted and without thinking swung the bike around to lock up DS towards rack.

It’s funny too because 95% of my riding is on a track bike so it really doesn’t matter. But still. I even find it awkward to lock up a bike facing the other way if I’m forced to, like I can’t figure out where to put the lock. It’s dumb but after years of locking up 100+ times a day it’s all muscle memory.

I spin the crank so that it is pointing backwards and then lean the crank arm against the rack upright—keeps the shifty bits away from the rack and the frame too unless it’s bumped pretty hard. Cranks get scratched up but that’s better than the alternative

700c.anual says 42mm max and that seems spot on. Would like a bigger tire but it’s not to be

Finally mounted those challenge tires after getting the front wheel back. They seem fast, but I also rode at 5pm and the shadows + sunglasses had me second guessing lines.

Also, here is a lady bug at my mid-ride beer stop.

Maybe I’m wrong about this. I’ll try your way, but I’m skeptical.

Not mine, but my partner just got a new Ripley af today, looks like a bunch of fun and I’m stoked for her since I think it’ll be a great match for her riding style

You are wrong about this.
My wife is also wrong about this, but I’ve given up on talking her into walking on the NDS and have just resigned myself to listening to her complain about getting chain junk on her pants.
