goodness I love that rear rack so much
get one of those inserts to increase the effective head tube length to fix that
Tarcklebee A+ dither and outstanding contribution to geometry experiments and top-shelf kludge.
peeping the brake setup. for maximizing rack space/minimizing canti-on-bag violence?
Though to be fair to Pete, his negative tiller bikes are running steeper head tube angles that might mitigate the weirdness.
yep, getting the bag close to the HT + keeping the cable runs away from luggage
with the flipped brakes there’s a bit of a tendency for water to pool in the hollow back of the canti posts, though prob wouldn’t have ever noticed that if it had paint
the rear rack should probably be about 3" longer, bit tricky to use that space without thigh rub
So are you saying this will handle like shit?
At what point do shock absorber forks start to perform worse due to being horizontal?
I keep wondering when linkage front suspension is going to become more of a thing on DH bikes. Would give some more degrees of freedom for changing front center vs stem length vs trail vs. shock path etc.
Maybe if we go back to using that silly Trust fork they don’t make anymore we can all have 55deg head tubes.
Excuse the strangely lit and cluttered photo. It started raining as I finished the bike.
Pretty stoked to have a really fast bike!
I dig it! Soma fork?
It’s actually an @Orc fork! Someday I may put a rack on it.
Looks a bit like the Dreesens fork on my fast bike. I love having some tire clearance up front.
I could fit a 30 with the newer Shimano brakes, but with the 6800s I’m limited to 28. But I have another bike for fast and rough stuff, this one can stick to the fast and smooth.
How many rivs do you have?
Only two. I can quit at any time!
