Dammit: Post your bike

absolutely, definitely worth the confrontation and to provide closure to firing him as a customer

also that bike sounds really nice and I want to see photos

That guy sounds like he sucks. I’d be interested in hurting his feelings if you need me.

Same I need some outlet for feelings and this could be it

Love it. I don’t want to tell you how to live, but are you going to remove the thumb levers and fully embrace Dual Control Lyfe?

oh shit yes!

I adapted pretty quickly to using the tops of my fingers under the levers for the cable release especially for the rear

but probably need to tune the action a little on the front to lighten the trigger pull

I was already thinking about getting another one of these classic shims so that I could lower the triple Q-factor ridiculously

Could have used that on my Dayruiner. Front cage always rubbed ever so slightly in the lowest gear with the lower limit backed out. Drove me nuts.

Really liking these Ramble bars and I still hate fenders
Definitely have to redo the rear brake cable now that I’m keeping the bars, it’s just a touch too short
Thumbies next

I don’t think I saw the finished frame after paint. Customer was antsy so he got directly from the painter.

That was the last process pic before cleaning up the brazed dropouts and prep for paint.

how much was the balance? and what wasn’t to his liking?

As my dad always told me, no good deed goes unpunished.

I’d cut that friend off. I don’t have the confrontational cajones to tell them straight up why I’m not talking to them though (case in point I let a friend stay at my mom’s vacation condo for a huge discount, and he+family got me cited for noise complaints, broke the washing machine and we had to get a plumber to remove beach sand from the shower drains)

posting the bike I was riding ten years ago:

tehschkott posted this bike on Tarck and I noticed that a ton of people from a website called “tarck.com” were looking at it

and my life changed for ever

damn I kinda wish I still had this bike

Rode the clyd with the 650x42 rear instead of 26x2.3. Felt like the same bike. The KS dropper is garbage. Don’t buy one.

Finally got this completely dialed in after about 1.5k miles. Don’t love having two different products with objectionable names but they are the best in class and I’ve already complained about it enough.
