Dammit: Post your bike

I’ve had the same one for 9 years moved between all my full suspension MTBs.

Those are like $65 more than I’ve ever spent on a bottle cage!

Lezyne Flow SL work pretty good for me, they’re like $20.

Ugh I feel this. Always want tiny framebags to make sense but it ends up just feeling crowded. I’ve been having luck lately with a gas tank style bag and the Outer Shell drawcord bar bag- lot of functionality for a bag that doesn’t need a rack!

Y’all just reminded me to buy another Jandd frame bag. The full length revelate one I’ve got is in the way of both my big water jug and my foldy lock.

I wish my jandd bag would fit right. I hate when frame bags don’t fit snug against the head tube and seat tube. It was surprisingly hard to find a stock option that fit the cg perfectly.

I finally cracked that problem for myself: long and low custom frame made with really big tubes. Suddenly my Tangle doesn’t have an aesthetically disappointing gap at the head or the seat tube. No impact on performance either way, but who cares about that

I think this will go well, as I’m very insecure and also place tremendous value on my being good at bikes. No way a satirist could have a little fun with someone like that

But why?

We need to divide the site between racks and panniers people and wierdos who do it wrong

Wait until you hear about velcro and voile straps.

The plastic ones. Not the fancy plastic ones.

I’ve used those and the Lezyne ones.

I got the Blackburn ones. Great for retention but damn hard to get the bottles out.

Today was the first time I touched a bike since baby showed up in November. I’m really glad I made a bit of time and my wife was supportive. Over the last year during pregnancy and life change stuff, I definitely had trouble getting joy out of cycling, and felt like I was just going through the motions. After a few months of having absolutely no time for anything, I was worried I’d be super out of shape and hate it.

This ride was so fun, it brought back joyful memories of bike rides of the past. It just felt good. And this bike fits me really well and is a blast to ride.

I rode this thing 25 miles in a headwind uphill both ways in the snow to be told by a doctor that I need surgery and then on the way home I realized that my dugout was empty.

Yes, that’s what a rainy day looks like in California.
