Dammit: Post your bike

Is this some wizard skating variant? Why the raised big wheels?

I wanted to explore the dynamics of having the front/rear axles as near to the same height as my foot. All rollerblades are like tall bikes where the rider is fully above the wheels, and this idea was to lower the foot relative to those outer wheels. The edge pressure is great, it’s like when you’re cornering on a bike and you put your outside pedal down, it applies your weight more directly to the edge of the tire and you grip better than if your pedals were flat and your weight was further up. At least that’s the premise

Also since the wheels are outside the boot profile, might as well make em big and roll over shit easier. Kind of like a 36’er bike I guess

Gotta do something about the rim decals, but otherwise cheapo(ish) pump track bike is operational.

Is that a P1?

2010 Haro Thread 1.2, short. Debating if I want to try and locate a geared dropout slider and mount a dropper post, to make it a bit more versatile for rides with the kiddo.

No to gears, yes to dropper. ATMO

Sup got a travel/leave in CA bike as we’ll be out here more frequently.

Was 1650 pre tax with 11s GRX bits.

Heavy, but already ordered some Specialized Terra C carbon/Dt Swiss things for 750 from Jenson. Should drop some weight and make bike feel better.

Hard to compare this with dentist bikes and stuff but it’s a sweet bike. Fits her really well - very French fit.

Nice. Love the color.

Why are stock wheels so bad? Worst thing about my checkpoint.

Stock wheels are the easiest way to save money -

These are 2100 grams - she’s used to Zipp 303 FC and Reynolds jawns, or some alloy handbuilts I made for her…so yeah, 2100 grams is not ideal.

At 750 dollars for carbon with DT ratchet (not exp) guts, you can’t say no. That’s like retail for spokes, hubs and alloy rims without labor and I don’t have to build them

Oh yeah, that’s a great price. Would.

I just did the opposite because I’m not sick of building wheels (yet…) and got another set of those PUB jawns to lace up.

Oh wow, it looks like they’ve moved totally away from the 3 pawl stuff eh? DT 370 used to be EXP only as far a I know. Wish they had some 30mm internal for that price!

We’re also on the road but can get these in my hands while away at an event. Then I can just install and go.

370 used to be 3 pawl only and now it’s OG ratchet! Big plus for me

Heading out in 2 hours for a 300 km ride starting at 10.30 pm. Hope I make it. Could be interesting. Got a lucky gap in the weather. Packing a ton of food and water. And a boom box.
