And a front light and about 3 or 4 more inches of front brake housing.
yea I need to find a bolt that goes through the hole in the fork to mount my light, and yea need some more brake housing
I still have this one, and actually rode it today. HY sweet fixxieing is still fun, WTH sub 30mm tires are stupid.
getting ready for the first poopbarning trip of the year
new rigid mone fork. SUP helped me do some internal routing for the dynamo light and brazed on the light mount. thanks everyone in the dynamo thread for mounting ideas but I opted to take the nuclear route and just mount it straight to these steel bars
Comments on the dropper lever please?
i donât love it
itâs pretty hard to actuate, compared to a normal style dropper lever. cool concept though and itâs nice that itâs infinitely adjustable if you need that. i might need to play around with the positioning a little more
Itâs supposed to be omnidirectional?
yeah, the bottom section with the lever attaches 360 degrees to the clamp, and you can pull the lever in any direction to pull the cable
Kinda cool but Iâm trying to figure out whatâs the advantage over a thumb lever?
I had the x fusion version on the Jones that Fred now has. I wouldnât pay $60 for it but it is novel. Make the cable tighter if it isnât actuating fast enough.
I keep thinking about sketchy times when your gripping the bar with your thumb and having trouble getting back to the trigger you could boop it with the top of your thumb.
yeah Iâm not sure that there is an advantage on my specific bike. I bought it because I was sick of my other dropper lever digging into my thumb while riding. it was weirdly sharp.
went for second bike ride of the year, took a picture
new mavic carbon clinchers are zesty
everything else is filthyâŚfrom last season
Was it the standard wolf toot? Thatâs what I have and yeah, it is unreasonably sharp around the edges. Iâm thinking of switching to the PNW
VS
yeah it was! made my thumb bleed a couple times somehow. very annoyingly shaped lever, the PNW looks better
The knurling on the paddle is ridiculous sharp. I donât like touching it. Iâm gonna buy the pnw, brb.
WT is sharp, but they all can do it. Stock xfusion manic one has also done it to me. The PNW or the oneups with the rubber are nice, and add some fun color options.
i must have iron thumbs or something
I wear full finger gloves
As do I, but that doesnât necessarily stop the flaying. I mean, I have had the shifter do it.
