I’ve got a Zeus track frame in storage. I used to call it noodley, but now I know it just planes.
It very much does. That and tanwall tires but I’m a bit tapped out on cash for bikes for a bit.
Amateur built by a guy in California back in the 70s. Says it was built with Columbus SL, and there’s rifling in the steer tube of the original fork that corroborates that story.
@Blakey I did find out a few years ago that it clears 38mm 650b tires with the axle all the way pushed back, but 32mm 650b fits really nicely with medium reach brakes. It’s a bunch of fun built like that and I need to build another wheelset to do that again.
Weren’t the japan made frames made by someone noteable?
Favorite bike on here
680 wide, what year is this? Only $60 though
Panasonic made some of the paramounts in the 90s
Currently my only geared bike until I get new bike built up which will be Saturday unless the gods are against me.
that photo is PNW as fuck
you can smell this photo
and it smells like meth. and trees and diesel.
Oh shit! That’s legit!
Wow really burying the lead on this…
Are those rims NJS?
What’s an NJS?
Nihon Jitensha Shinkōkai, Japan Bicycle Promotion, or Japan Keirin Association. All of the Keirin-approved parts have the stamp. It used to be a flex to have a bike that was all NJS (maybe still is?).
I hope it still is a flex to have any njs, I’ve got njs da cranks and bb on my surly.
