I haven’t soured on the short cranks yet so I built a formal gravel frame to replace the two bottom bracket test mule.
The Ritchey fork is super smooth and the Race Kings roll way faster than the knobs suggest.

I bet tailwinds feel amazing on this :sailboat:

They certainly do on my bakfiets with the big canopy on! It’s like having a sail and when I’m going into the wind I swear it’s more aero than riding without.

I can’t remember the last time I posted this bike proper, but the last big round of changes includes:

  • Fenders on and then off again
  • Force 1x11 → Force AXS
  • Whisky carbon bar (and associated mediocre bar tape job)
  • “Real” grav grav tires (American Classic Kimberlites - meh but ok for the price)

just found this picture. it was my first nice steel road bike. I still miss it sometimes even though it was too small.

You got a whole head shop in that frame bag!

Hood position is kind of awful seated, feels good out of the saddle though.

I asked my oldest in prison island was she interested in the goose. She 100% was. Will come with me when I visit my first grandchild in a few months. Took the old flex stem off and replaced it with this nos one I recently acquired. Will get her some pretty pedals too.
