Dammit: Post your bike

Finally done with this build, just in time for winter

Picked this thing up recently and it will be getting the fender and basket treatment for commuter duty.

It’s a Cannondale even though it’s branded LL Bean. It’s in immaculate shape.

Hard to imagine the use, service, storage history that results in everything original and serviceable after 40 years?

needs caoutchouc wall tires with the Bean boot chain link tread, maybe a shearling saddle pad

The only annoying thing about it is that I’m pretty sure it’s spaced 126 in the rear.

Actually got out on Saturday. Was nice so I opted for pedal bike and sup generously powered down her e bike.

Forbidden fucking rips downhill. More comfortable leaning it over and it just wants more speed. Some awkward jumps and pops, but a lot of that can’t be lack of MTB riding lately and flat pedal switch.
Also fun getting to ride down a trail you helped build.

Decided to say screw it and rip my gears off for a lil #1fg rip before the imminent freeze-thaw.

Druid? That bike rules. My buddy got one and set it up mullet. Forbidden is on some future shit for sure.

Yup. I’m going full 29 because that’s what I think I’d want for my only trail bike. But it is only second ride but it’s really fun. But I was totally comfortable laying it over as much as I ever do. It wants to haul ass even when you’re not as certain about it.
I picked up the cascade link and I may try that out after getting more of a baseline on it. Just heard it was good and they were having their once a year sale.

Yeah full 29’er is the life for me, though if I lived somewhere with more steep chutes I’d consider the mullet. Or, more likely, I’d just ride less steep trails.

I’m 6’2" so I haven’t really had much of an issue with the 29 back wheel even in steep stuff. We have plenty of it here in Bellingham, and I rode plenty back east. Maybe the DH would be a bit better mullet, but I ain’t gonna re-lace a different carbon rim to the i9 hub that’s on there.

The travel bike at night:

(after the third trip to the grocery store this evening. OH NO I FORGOT TO GET AN INGREDIENT, BETTER GO FOR ANOTHER BIKE RIDE!

(also note the new flat magnets; the old ones had become too magnetic.)

What tires are those (can’t quite read the hot patch)?

The fender line is superb, btw.

Good purple. Is that a Mutant stem? How’s it ride? I’ve had one in my parts bin for years, but never used it due to its shorter length.

2007 called and I’m here.

has a very rare ride to it. i have one as well but i switched to granola bars and they are too oversized to fit

You are unfamiliar with just how puncture-prone Pari-motos get after they get a few thousand miles under their belt?
