Dammit: Post your bike

Finally swapped in the GRX / TA crankset onto the NFE along with the matching FD. Pulley install didn’t have any surprises once I figured out the cable route.

79 Schwinn update. Lots of parts bin here, the rims, stem and fork came off this fuji step thru beach cruiser i got at goodwill like 10 years ago, that’s how long I’ve been dreaming up this build. Still turned out better than I ever hoped. Rides soooo well.

I have always wanted to play with this

Old School Bmx/schwinn Conversion Headset, Use a 1 1/8” Threadless Fork in Your Vintage Frame! Klunker Cruiser Haro Profile Landing Gear! - Etsy

and this

Black Ops Black Bottom Bracket Conversion Kit - American to Euro - Modern Bike

I did the bottom bracket conversion on my schwinn. caveat - I had to sand and file down one of the adapter pieces a lot because they are too “deep” for the shape of the inside of the schwinn bottom bracket, they kept bottoming out before becoming flush with the shell

it lets me run a GXP crank on it

thought for a moment you had an actual milk crate as a front rack, which would be vibe correct for you and that bike

Looks like you’re right next to a chimney and that is the access to clean it

Pretty sure that with fenders that would be the hike everyone wants and or needs

correct, thats my chimney butthole, its very convenient and messy.

Pulled off the coaster brake added a rear brake seems about an equal swap weight wise…

Stoked to get Ira on a bike that will actually let his legs extend reasonably while peddling… Whole thing comes in about 13 pounds.

My buddy is selling one of these. Should I buy it?

Had a big birthday recently, gave myself a Chorus 12speed groupset and a new Cyo premium. 165 cranks for my short legs, TRP 57mm drop brakes cos campagnolo doesn’t make them.

Have only ridden around the block but it feels great. We have a week’s worth of rain coming off the tail end of cyclone Alfred so won’t get it out for a decent ride for a bit. Patience is a virtue etc.
