Oh man I’m jealous. That thing gives me the same feeling that the Official Tarck Olmo gave me back in the day.

Obligatory ā€œwhat are you trying to get for that?ā€ :star_struck:

I’ve always admired the steel langsters. BUT I can guarantee some nerd wants to pay more for it than I do. Still have to ask!

You sure? I’m estimating it’s well over 7lbs for the frameset

Okay you’re probably right. I have a mostly-assembled SE Lager in one of my friend’s garage that I should spraypaint red. Crisis averted, thanks!

hfy it is. I’ve been looking at track frames on ebay every day.

so tempted by this: USED Gunnar Roadie Small Single Speed Frame Made in USA Waterford | eBay

they are just the opposite of snappy track frames

I’ve had these giant pogies sitting around for a few years and finally decided to attach a bike to them and see how they feel.

THose look amazingly huge with skinny tires vs 4.5" ones.
Then again, i had some amazon camo pogies for ATV on my commuter at some point that also looked quite silly. Warm, but silly.

Sometimes silly and warm can be a pretty cool hand.

I don’t know if I’ll keep them on after the temps get reliably above 20F again.

They belong on the Fatback but I just don’t ride it very much.

I had a pair of those once(these may in fact be that very pair). I found them to be cumbersome and overly featured/complicated.

Pretty sure it is that pair. I believe ā€œoverengineeredā€ was the word you used when we made the transaction.

Look like combo pogie/feedbag maybe you can dump some trail mix in there for easy snackin.

Sort of a visual soup-sandwich but it rides very well.

I took so long getting it together that I lost track of the actual aesthetic I was going for. Black saddle and spacer will fix the most egregious, might change the bar tape too. Nothing to do about the rear wheel for now, it works fine and lets me use the biggest tire I know will fit.

When I was putting the bike together I was thinking how it was just a funny coincidence that the most expensive bikes I’ve put together always ride the best and I was curious to see if this was going to happen again. 10 minutes into my ride I proceeded to two wheel drift though multiple corners, then I hit a new top speed on a local paved descent and later matched my best time for a rough singletrack climb.

It’s nice having one bike that is obviously so much better than the rest but it also sucks a little too.

paint and fenders are wild… flash isn’t helping the brat ape or saddle but I can see where you’re coming from

What fenders are those?

As impactful to my riding as wider tires and tubeless.

I don’t have a good picture but cutting and remounting the brackets is simple. I did it on my other Panasonic for cantilevers. I think they’d work fine with v-brakes as long as you have ~10mm above the tire.
